Six steps to a simply smarter way of working
Tell us what kind of information you would like to provide on your references, including those for prospective employers, mortgage companies and landlords.
Then create a digital file containing the employment details of all your current and past employees, and send it to us. This data should be easy to extract and migrate from your existing HR or Payroll system. In some cases, we can simply connect our systems together and conduct an automatic upload. WorkPass will help you work out how this can be best achieved.
WorkPass will upload your data to our secure system and generate free accounts for you and your employees, past and present.
We will then provide you with letter templates explaining how to use the service, which you can customise and send to current and past employees, as well as companies seeking references. We will also provide you with explanatory text to place on your website.
You can log into the system at any time and use a simple control panel to edit the references for particular individuals, according to your preferred wording. This provides a simple way of dealing with a Compromise Agreement, for example.
Thereafter, you simply send us weekly or monthly reports – depending on how frequently you run your payroll – with details of all employment changes: leavers, joiners, salary changes and so on. That way, we can keep your file accurate and up-to-date.
Searches are then conducted by the reference-seeking organisations themselves. They can log in to a secure account, using one-time consent codes generated by your past or current employees, and obtain the reference directly.
